Batangas è noto per molte cose: chiese secolari, irresistibili prelibatezze, un vulcano all’interno di un lago, un accento forte e il balisong (coltello a farfalla). Ma molto più di ogni altra cosa, l’unica cosa che per primo mi viene in mente quando è sottolineato Batangas: le spiagge. Perfino i Ceraserheads lo sapevano, quando cantavano di guidare verso la spiaggia.

Questo in anticipo, devo dirti che Batangas non ha spiagge polverose che sono bianche come gli Oscar. Se stai cercando di trovare una sabbia simile a Boracay sparsa su chilometri di riva, rimarrai deluso. Questo non vuol dire che un viaggio in una spiaggia di Batangan non sarà divertente.

Fringing dell’idea sud -occidentale di Luzon, Batangas ospita un eccellente litorale, costituito da vari tipi di spiagge. Alcuni sono sabbiosi, altri ciottoli, altri rocciosi. Alcuni sono assolutamente isolati, altri completamente sviluppati. Ognuno ha il suo fascino. Ognuno ha il suo mercato. Ma la cosa migliore che rende popolari le spiagge di Batangas è la sua vicinanza a Manila. A soli tre o quattro ore dalla capitale, questa provincia del Tagalog del sud utilizza una facile tregua per la stanca urbanite. Laiya è una delle spiagge più sviluppate di Batangas. E non è difficile capire perché. Il suo lungo e grande tratto di sabbia attira migliaia e migliaia di turisti soprattutto durante l’estate. Molti resort, sia di fascia alta che di budget, si sono fondati lungo la costa negli ultimi anni, rendendo questa un’opzione fantastica per coloro che vogliono semplicemente rilassarsi e sentirsi a proprio agio. Laiya è anche uno dei preferiti per gli eventi aziendali.

Nota però che la sabbia qui non è bianca o bella. È ruvido e molto di più sul lato marrone di Beigh-Light, ma costituisce comunque una buona vista.

Verde Island, Batangas City

Verde Island
Verde Island fa parte di Batangas City, ma non è in alcun modo commercializzato come il resto. Situato a 45 minuti dalla terraferma, culla una serie di attrazioni sulla spiaggia quasi intatte tra cui Mahabang Buhangin e Cueva Sitio.

L’isola si trova anche nel mezzo di Verde Island Passage, che è descritto da uno studio dell’Istituto Smithsonian del 2007 come il “centro del centro” della biodiversità marina del mondo citando l’alta concentrazione di specie marine.

Dove alloggiare: se non vuoi soggiornare durante la notte, potresti soggiornare in un hotel a Batangas City.

Manuel Uy Beach, Catagan

Manuel Uy Beach
Manuel Uy Beach Resort è un’escursione e una destinazione per il campeggio in Calatagan. È lungo la stessa costa che culla la palafitta di Calatagan Resort e Burot Beach. A prima vista, non sembra affatto un resort, molto più simile a un campeggio. Con l’eccezione della doccia e dei servizi igienici e delle stazioni del personale, non ci sono strutture di cemento permanente lungo la spiaggia.

È una lunga e grande striscia di sabbia color crema lappata delicatamente dalle acque superficiali di Calatagan. È diviso in due per un ingresso. È anche un punto di salto ottimale per Starfish Island e una banda di sabbia. Le escursioni di salto dell’isola sono disponibili sulla spiaggia solo per P300 a persona.

Masasa Beach, Tingloy

Masasa Beach
Completamente isolato dalla terraferma Batangas, l’umile comune di Tingloy rimane intatto dagli artigli di sviluppo. La sua migliore spiaggia si chiama Masasa, un lungo e tratto bianco nascosto nel bordo meridionale dell’isola di Maricaban (isola principale di Tingloy).

Dove alloggiare: non ci sono resort o hotel a Masasa Beach. Un sacco di che controlla un’escursione di un giorno da Anilao.

Sombrero Island, Tingloy

Sombrero Island
Se ti piace il trekking, probabilmente hai sentito parlare del Monte Gulgod Baboy a Mabini. E se hai conquistato il Monte Gulgod Baboy, probabilmente hai sentito parlare di Sombrero Island. Molti alpinisti ed escursionisti che scendono lungo la collina scelgono di fare una gita di un giorno su quest’isola prima di tornare a Manila.

Così chiamata per la sua forma, Sombrero Island ha un’altezza arrotondata circondata da un letto di sabbia, dove i barboni della spiaggia possono oziare e godersi solo l’acqua limpida.

SEPOC Beach, Tingloy

Spiaggia sepoc
SEPOC Beach (o SEPOC Point) è una striscia privata di proprietà e gestita da Eagle Point Beach Resort, che gli consente di essere meno sciamato come altre spiagge di Batangas. Allacciando l’idea nord -occidentale di Tingloy, può essere incluso nell’isola di Tingloy che salta Excursions from Masasa beach or Anilao. Public boats are complimentary to stop here but the inland amenities like restrooms and dining hall, and a hilltop viewpoint are exclusive to the resort guests.

Fortune Island, Nasugbu

Fortune Island is part of the municipality of Nasugbu. It’s actually a surprise that not lots of people outside Batangas know about it. I grew up hearing about this island all the time. The island’s a lot of famous features are the Greek columns, ruins of what looks like a private rest house.

Calayo Beach, Nasugbu

Calayo Beach
The beaches of Nasugbu are among the first in the province to undergo major development. There are resorts everywhere, lots of of which have their own cove: Hamilo coast and Punta Fuego, to name a few. but there are still beaches that are open to the general public. Calayo beach is one of them.

Calayo beach is lined with several houses and budget to mid-range resorts. The sand here isn’t spectacular. It’s fine but it’s closer to light brown than white. but it is the jump off point to better beaches like Pulo Island, Kayraang Cove, and Bituin Cove.

Pulo Island, Nasugbu

Loren Island
Locals call it Pulo-pulo, but tourists know this as Pulo Island or Loren Island. Yep, Loren as in Loren Legarda, who, according to our boatmen, owns this piece of paradise. It’s located just 20 minutes from Calayo Beach. The sand here isn’t white or fine, it’s beige and pebbly at best, but it still uses a wonderful island escape. The island has two beaches and what looks like a sandbar that links to another rocky islet.

Bituin Cove

Bituin Cove.
Said to be owned by Sen. Edgardo Angara, this short strip of sand and shingles is a rising camping destination just 20 minutes away from Calayo Beach. You can stay overnight or check out as part of an island hopping tour. entrance fee is P25. From Calayo Beach, it can be reached by chartering a boat which costs P1500, good for 12 pax.

Malabrigo Point, Lobo

Malabrigo Beach
While Laiya and Nasugbu attract a lot of Manila-dwellers, Malabrigo has managed to fly under the radar all these years, preserving its natural appeal and excellent state. two things can take credit scores for it. One is its location. Nestled in a relatively obscure municipality, it can be reached by meandering along mountainsides. The other reason is that it’s not your normal beach. It’s a pebble beach. instead of fine sand, its beach is composed of small- to medium-size grey and white cobbles. There’s also a stunning lighthouse nearby.

Matabungkay Beach, Lian

Matabungkay Beach
If locals are to be believed, Matabungkay was “rediscovered” in the early 1950s by Germans who were trying to find a go-to paradise within proximity to the bustling Manila. considering that then, Matabungkay transformed from a basic fishing village into a tourism destination. The shore is strewn with ashen sand that sparkles a white glow when hugged by sunlight. It is bordered landward by a long, cramped lane of resorts and stores. beware though, the last time I was here, I could not help but notice the trash littered on the beach.

Burot Beach, Catagan

Burot Beach
For the longest time, Burot beach was a best-kept secret. but that has changed recently as a lot more and a lot more beach-chasers discovered it. It’s a short cove tucked in the western edge of Punta de Santiago in Calatagan. It is said to have been purchased by development gigantic SM, but it remains open to those who seek a short affair with nature.

Where to Stay: camping is the way to go. but if it’s not your thing, you may stay in other resorts in the area.
